In 2025, Director Paul Lim sought to enhance the venue’s energy efficiency and sustainability by investing in a 50 kWh battery storage system – aiming to better manage energy use, reduce reliance on the grid, and lower operating costs.

Paul partnered with One Stop Utilities to deliver a system that optimises energy performance during peak times and stores excess power for later use. Using a $0 upfront Smart Ease Payment Plan, the installation proceeded without affecting cash flow – keeping funds focused on improving the player and visitor experience.

The project shows how community-focused businesses like Badminton Connect can adopt smart energy solutions that support both sustainability and financial stability.
