Dairy farming is energy-intensive – from feeding cows to keeping milk cold, electricity demands are high. Director Nicola Templeton saw an opportunity to reduce costs and boost energy resilience at her Victorian farm.

Partnering with Green Arch Solar, she installed a 62.1 kW solar system with 60 kWh of battery storage – helping manage energy use and reduce reliance on the grid. Using a $0 upfront Smart Ease Payment Plan, Nicola implemented the system without affecting working capital, freeing resources for daily operations while saving on energy bills.

The project shows how high-energy agricultural businesses can adopt renewable energy to cut costs, improve efficiency, and support sustainable farming.
