Since joining Smart Ease last month, Renato has been hitting the ground running meeting the team and getting a deep dive into all things Smart Ease.
As our Operations Manager, Renato plays a key role in keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes. From process improvement and settlements to team leadership and customer outcomes, he works closely with our channel partners, customers, and internal teams to ensure we continue delivering a seamless finance experience.
With a strong background in asset finance and commercial lending, Renato brings a practical, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine passion for building strong relationships and efficient processes.
Now that he’s settled in, we thought it was time to get to know him a little better.
What has been the highlight of your time at Smart Ease so far?
One of the biggest highlights so far has been the opportunity to broaden my operational leadership experience and gain knowledge across multiple areas of the business through the “deep dive” process.
I’ve really enjoyed being involved in process improvement initiatives, supporting credit administration, collections, and post-settlement functions, as well as people management and learning and development. It’s been rewarding helping build stronger structure and accountability within the team.
What gets you out of bed in the morning and excited to come to work?
I’m excited to come to work because I’m still learning the business, and I enjoy picking things up quickly. Every day feels like an opportunity to grow, learn, improve my understanding of operations, and become more confident in how I support the team.
What’s your go-to ‘pick-me-up’ song?
“Beat It” by Michael Jackson. It’s upbeat, energetic, and keeps me focused.
What’s a personal motto or mantra you live by?
“Enjoy the journey, not just the destination.”
